Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present how the relationship between teaching and the practice of environmental comfort disciplines in the elaboration of the architectural project in Palmas - TO has been developed by the graduates of the Federal University of Tocantins through the use of digital resources taught in the course. To this end, a study was carried out on the Pedagogical Course Project (PPC) (2013), a survey on the demands of the urban climate in Palmas and the main guidelines for environmental comfort solutions. In addition, a questionnaire was applied between architects and urban planners working in Palmas to raise the perception of professionals about the teaching and practice of environmental comfort applied to the project. Among the responses, only those from the architecture and urbanism course at the Federal University of Tocantins were selected for analysis. In this analysis it was possible to observe a positive trend of growth in the application of the contents related to environmental comfort to the architectural projects and the use of digital modeling and simulation tools of the sunstroke and shading, as well as the formalization of their teaching in the new PPC of the course.
