Comparative analysis between well-being certifications in the built environment: WELL and Fitwel

Resumen

Los seres humanos pasan la mayor parte del tiempo en interiores, lo que hace que la Calidad Ambiental Interna (CAI) sea esencial para la salud y el bienestar. En este contexto, surgieron certificaciones como WELL y Fitwel, que establecen directrices para entornos más saludables y sostenibles. Esta investigación comparó ambas certificaciones considerando aplicabilidad, requisitos de CAI, comprobaciones, costos y adopción en Brasil. Los resultados muestran que WELL tiene mayor rigor técnico, con costos y complejidad más altos. En cambio, Fitwel es más accesible y flexible, lo que explica su mayor adopción en Brasil, aunque con menor enfoque en CAI. La elección entre ellas debe considerar los objetivos y limitaciones de cada proyecto, buscando mejorar la calidad ambiental y el bienestar de los ocupantes.
