Abstract

The adoption of technological innovations in civil construction presents changes in the construction management processes. The objective of this work is to describe a procedure that adopts technological innovation, from capturing reality to preparing the budget. A case study was done to paint the facades of an existing building. The chosen building has a complex geometry and the original designs differ from the final execution. Data were collected in field using drones and laser scanners, the data processing was made with AUTODESK RECAP and FARO SCENE, then happen the point cloud generation and the BIM modeling at AUTODESK REVIT. Data analysis was carried out by applying the original 2D design and using the BIM model over point cloud (as-is), using tools such as AUTODESK REVIT and TRIMBLE VICO OFFICE for budgeting. As a result, was obteined the project "as is", the takeoff quantities and the budget to maintain part of the building's facade. As a proposal for scientific contribution, this work presents a process of adopting technological innovation for applications in buildings with complex geometries and whose execution is different from the original project, in order to obtain accurate information for budgeting and maintenance.
