The supplier evaluation emerges as a tool that makes it possible to translate in a practical way the company's desires in relation to the attitudes of its suppliers. However, there are few studies on the development of evaluation systems aimed at construction suppliers. This work proposes guidelines for the development of an evaluation system aimed at service providers in construction. As a result, an evaluation model is presented that has as its premises the development through analysis of the company's needs, separation between qualifying and order winning criteria and elimination of subjectivity with qualitative and qualitative requirements.
