A Simplified Method for Visual Evaluation of Architectural Experiences

User experience in architecture is an individual phenomenon resulting from the interaction between a person and a space, shaping behaviors and having emotional impacts. Intentionally designing these experiences is crucial for architects. Measuring and quantifying these experiences is essential for comparing projects and evaluating architectural references. This study proposes a simplified method for visually assessing architectural experiences. Using Design Science Research, the author grounded the method with literary references, developed measures, and an application protocol. The method was tested in the evaluation of architectural references by architecture students during a design exercise and subsequently assessed qualitatively by the students. The method proved useful in highlighting how users perceive and visually experience spaces, enabling students to direct their design intentions based on this knowledge.
