Physical-digital models for teaching graphic representation

Abstract

This paper is part of a research project that aims to develop physical and digital models of buildings and construction systems, through modeling and digital fabrication, in order to be used as a teaching resource in graphic representation. Faced with this, it is adopted the Design Science Research (DSR) methodological approach, splited into five stages: (1) identification of the problem; (2) understanding of the topic; (3) proposition of the artifact – in this case, the physical-digital models considered as teaching resources; (4) use and evaluation of the artifact; (5) organization of contributions. At this time, we bring here the partial results of the research, sharing to the comunity a download link with all the digital models developed. This digital library contains models of buildings and construction systems developed and configured for 3D printing so that more institutions can manufacture everything that is being proposed here as a teaching resource for graphic representation.
