Abstract

This article analyzes the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in creating conceptual images for architectural project references and its possible impact on the future of construction. Using an approach based on photo analysis through hashtags on the social network Instagram, aesthetic, formal patterns, and possible materials and construction methods of AI-generated references were examined. The results show a predominance of organic forms and conventional materials, suggesting a preference for fluid and nature-inspired aesthetics in contrast to straight and angular shapes. Additionally, the analysis of construction methods reveals a strong inclination towards current techniques, such as precast and reinforced concrete, valued for their speed and efficiency. The increasing observation of methods like 3D printing highlights the innovative trend in the sector, allowing the creation of complex and customized forms that would be difficult to achieve with conventional methods. This technological advancement points to a transformation in the architectural design process, where text-to-image generation can enhance creativity and visual representation of projects.
