Abstract

It’s substancial to preserve architectural heritage to maintain the history and promote a sustainable economical development. Face to that, the current essay aims a solution on management on historical heritage through a new approach on monitoring its life cycle utilizing HBIM. The method applied followed the case study of Sant’ana’s Church located in Salvador/BA, which were collected tridimensional data captured by UAV, handled on software, leading to a model of the construction, allowing the mapping of pathologies, elaboration of reports and creation of an HBIM parametrical model. The results have shown that a creation of a 3D parametrical model allow a secure reference of the building, optimizing further restoration projects. It was also able to identify technical challenges, such as interoperability between software, optimization on capture of data and creation of specifical systems on its management. The research can contribute on an approach more efficient and collaborative on maintenance on historical heritage, allowing a live monitoring able to give a better visualization on its features, facilitating a better and more effective conservation using new technologies.
