SATISFAÇÃO RESIDENCIAL: ESTUDO DOS FATORES DETERMINANTES DO MEIO URBANO

The interaction between the individual and the built environment is relevant to their satisfaction with housing and the urban environment. Several studies have addressed the concept of residential satisfaction, which makes it possible to determine whether the individual's needs are being met, based on certain factors. The objective of this research is to understand the relationship between the determinants of the urban environment in the individual's residential satisfaction. The research adopted the Survey method for data collection, and correlation analysis as a data analysis technique. A questionnaire was applied, with qualitative ordinal variables measured by the Likert scale. For the development of the research, 301 samples were collected, and 24 variables related to the urban environment were selected. It was found that urban and recyclable garbage collection, housing security and distance between housing and commerce are factors that influence individual satisfaction, whether female or male. It is concluded that a series of factors related to the residential environment affect the individual's satisfaction, and this understanding can bring improvements to future civil construction projects.
