EFEITOS DA LOCALIZAÇÃO, GESTÃO E MANUTENÇÃO DE EQUIPAMENTOS OLÍMPICOS EM SEUS USOS NO PERÍODO PÓS-JOGOS

Olympic equipment in the Olympic Park, Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, in its uses in the post-game period, through employees and users of the Park. Equipment classified as permanent and built exclusively for the 2016 Olympics was considered, namely: Velodrome, Tennis Center and Arenas Cariocas 1, 2 and 3. Data were collected through 24 structured interviews, 20 with users and four with employees of the Olympic Park. The users were interviewed at the Tennis Center and Arena Carioca 1 on event days and at the gym located at Arena Carioca 3. The employees were interviewed in the Olympic Park equipment for which they were responsible, during weekdays business hours. With the authorization of the participants, the interviews were recorded and later transcribed. The data were analyzed according to the frequency, meaning and importance of the points mentioned by the interviewees. The results evidence that the availability of public transportation and adequate avenues reduces problems generated by the distance between the equipment and the users' place of residence and that public management seems to favor the use of the equipment by people with less purchasing power.
