AVALIAÇÃO PÓS-OCUPAÇÃO EM HOSPITAL-COLÔNIA: CONFORTO AMBIENTAL NO HOSPITAL DA MIRUEIRA RECIFE/PE

Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) deals with the built environment, from both technical and user's point of view, noting the interference of the environment in the human being health and how environmental conditions could provide physical and psychological well-being. More than physical aspects, the user's perception of the space acts directly in the psychological comfort. In the case of hospital environments, this influence of the environment on the individual can be decisive in health recovery. The general objective of this research is to evaluate the performance of the built environment under the environmental comfort bias of Hospital da Mirueira, hospital-colony, designed in the 1930s and which still house leprosy patients. For this, the techniques of observation, interviews with the users of the space and technical measurements regarding the environmental comfort (thermal, light and acoustic) were used. The analysis of the research's results points out the influence of physical, biological and behavior variables on the user's sense of well-being. To ensure environmental comfort, a number of guidelines are outlined, such as the installation of mobile elements for the control of natural light, the use of independent lamp circuits, the provision of spaces for the expansion of houses, among others.
