Debate sobre os conceitos de urbanismo tático e mobilidade ativa em um planejamento de mobilidade consolidado

Abstract

Thinking about the future of cities, the stimulus for sustainable mobility within urban spaces should initially focus on reducing the demand for new infrastructure, such as road widening, construction of new viaducts and greater promotion of parking spaces. In this context, the pedestrian has lost space in the division of circulation routes with motor vehicles, where their route is limited between the facades of buildings and the increasingly smaller sidewalks. The justification for this article, an extension of the research line of the Master's Dissertation, is to try to understand which actions are viable as a proposal for sustainable mobility in a consolidated mobility planning. The result of these actions allows pedestrians to regain access to the streets, transforming the space into healthier, livelier, safer and more attractive areas, making other modes of travel viable. In conclusion, the understanding of the concepts of tactical urbanism and active mobility led to the perception that both terms are directed towards an improvement in the quality of life of the citizen and the city, however, tactical urbanism presents itself as a temporary action while active mobility as an action established within the city's mobility planning.
