This article presents the results of a workshop carried out with codesign instruments to improve the communication between building designers and users. The instruments to be used in the design discussion simulation, in dynamics with the participation of the researchers as intermediaries, were studied and determined from a literature review. The instruments determined were a two-dimensional physical model, a three-dimensional physical model and an electronic model with panoramic visualization through virtual reality glasses. The dynamics carried out showed that the mix of different physical instruments and the digital instrument can be productive for the design discussion, each one being more suitable at different moments of the design cycle, depending on the design phase of the project. The work is limited to one study and indicates the need for further similar studies based on this experience.
