Abstract

The remote teaching format, imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic context, presents several challenges regarding teaching methods in the field of architecture and urbanism. Among them, the practical design disciplines developed in the face-to-face mode stand out. In the context of improvements and enhancement of teaching practices, academic monitoring is important to bring students and teachers closer together. Thus, the objective of this article is to report and discuss the experiences and the relevance of the monitoring actions in the context of remote teaching, specifically in the curricular component "Urban and Landscape Project". The dynamics of the course is presented, with the report of the development of remote monitoring, as well as the main tools used, trying to highlight the positive points and limitations. The use of multiple digital platforms allowed the learning about new forms of teaching-learning, expanding the materials and techniques and adding new dynamics to the classes and activities. It is believed that many of these practices and dynamics should continue, such as the production of extra didactic content and the organization of material for complementary use. Furthermore, the exchange of ideas and experiences among students, monitors, and teachers allows for the improvement of teaching practices in general
