ALGUMAS CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE O MÉTODO

Abstract

The participatory process concept presents, nowadays, as a democratic alternative in the urban and space production, with social appeal mainly in cases that are evolved low income families as a strategy of guarantee the access to the city right. This article is part of a master dissertation in development and presents an analysis of the architect role in the participatory project context, starting with a short review of the social and historical context about those processes, focusing in the identification of some of the most usable methods and the transformation of the technicians’ function. To this are presented the methods and its social and politic context to the understanding of the challenge and limits faced by the professionals, contributing to the conscientization of the new professional requirements in the project process and its reflex in the architecture and urbanism formation.
