Abstract

The present study is part of a masters’ dissertation intitled “Environment quality in Family Health Units: a case study in Canaã, located in Uberlândia (MG)”. This study is in the context of a growing expansion and qualification of the public health system, in which it is an essential condition to have proper physical structures in order to provide quality health services. Thus, through an investigative Post-Occupation Evaluation, the purpose of this paper was to measure employee satisfaction about the studied building, focusing on its functional aspects and environmental and health comfort. In order to do that, semi-structured questionnaire and a walkthrough were used as evaluation tool, from which it was possible to parameterize the attributes of the quality specified. Therefore, it was possible to identify the most significant deviations, indicative of quality and most relevant problems. The results indicated a good environment quality, although a great dissatisfaction about the dimensioning and environmental comfort in most of the evaluated environment was identify. Furthermore, it is hoped that this study will contribute with the improvement of the analyzed project, as well as similar future developments. And also, to instigate the development of this subject in the academic field.
