Abstract

Two important changes have taken place in recent years in Architecture and Civil Engineering Projects (AEC): the shift from 2D orthogonal view to 3D perspective view and interactions with new technology platforms (Augmented Reality and Building Model Information - BIM). In the AEC one of the main problems are the incompatibilities or interferences, classified in three types: hard clash, soft clash and 4D clash and the choice of colors of representation. In this context, this research addresses the improvement of visualization to identify interferences in complementary civil projects by changing the standard colors of NBR-6493 (1994) for a cognitive approach using CAD, BIM and RA technologies. Questionnaires and interviews with architects and engineers in perceptions tests were performed in the compatibilization of projects and the results indicates that changes in the color pattern associated with the perspective view improves the number of hits and the response time in relation to those according to ABNT.
