Providing a comfortable indoor work environment is required for their occupants to achieve the best performance. Thus, one of the main factors for an environment to have internal quality is that it be thermally comfortable. In this sense, the architectural choices have the capacity to provide experiences, be they physical, functional or psychological, capable of influencing the thermal perception of its occupants. In turn, the users of individual rooms have a fundamental role in the adjustment of systems that aim to establish conditions of thermal comfort of their rooms. The objective of the study was to explore, through an exploratory analysis, how the actions of individual office users to obtain environmental comfort, in general, interfere with the thermal sensation. For this, the research is based on a mixed methodology, with quantitative and qualitative evaluations through, respectively, the application of questionnaires and computational simulation. A case study was carried out with the lecturers and their individual rooms of the Department of Architecture, Urbanism and Landscaping of the Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Communication (FAAC) of Unesp, Bauru Campus. The results showed that actions in search of environmental comfort are able to influence the thermal perception, as well as the importance of the psychological factor in this perception were clear.
