Abstract

This work presents an optimization procedure of the thermoenergetic performance of a single-family house, considering the Brazilian Bioclimatic Zones ZB1, ZB2, ZB3 and ZB4. Through simplified optimizations, when necessary to reach level A of the RTQ-R Regulation and the standard Passive House, it was performed from variation of thermal insulation and shading of translucent surfaces. The initial envelope configuration accorded to NBR15575. This analysis was performed through computer simulation, considering the natural and artificial conditioning environments. The study also considers the economic feasibility of the previous models. Note that the application of the Passive House presents lower energy consumption in bioclimatic zones 2 and 4, presenting better thermal comfort in ZBs 1,2 and 3. From an economic point of view, it is clear that the insertion of the Passive House becomes less attractive financially due to the high investment value of the MVHR, this directly implies the payback time, thus highlighting the economic challenge of applying this standard to the Brazilian context.
