AVALIAÇÃO DE EFICIÊNCIA ENERGÉTICA DA ENVOLTÓRIA DE UMA EDIFICAÇÃO COMERCIAL POR MEIO DA INI-C SOB O EFEITO DE DIFERENTES TIPOLOGIAS DE USO

Abstract

Commercial buildings are the third sector in energy consumption in Brazil, behind only the industrial and residential sectors. This paper aims to evaluate the class of energy efficiency of the envelope of a commercial building in the southern Brazilian climate, under the effect of different types of use. The method is divided into three main stages: definition of a study object, definition of the components of the envelope of the real building and application of the computational procedure for the evaluation of energy efficiency shown in the Inmetro Normative Instruction for the Classification of Energy Efficiency of Commercial, Service and Public Buildings (INI-C). The results are shown in terms of the percentage of reduction in primary energy consumption between the real building, with thermal insulation of the envelope, and the reference building. In the scenario considering the typology of offices, the percentage of reduction was 0.7%, and the building received label D of efficiency. In the scenario considering the retail typology, there was an increase of 2.0% in the energy consumption and the building received label E. The main difference between the two scenarios was the internal loads and the annual number of occupied hours, which were higher for the retail typology. In addition to the bioclimatic context, the intended use for the building and the expected internal loads are variables of fundamental importance for defining the envelope components and their thermal properties.
