ESTUDO DE CASO: IMPLANTAÇÃO DE UM SISTEMA DE GESTÃO LABORATORIAL NA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL

There is a demand for accredited laboratories, due to the need for companies to prove the performance of products and systems and the need to establish formal recognition of laboratory reports. This article aims to analyze the stages of implementation and development of the ABNT NBR ISO / IEC 17025: 2017 standard in a testing and service laboratory in the area of civil construction. For this, the research had an exploratory character, data collection through semi-structured interviews, non-participating observations and analysis of the regional market. Additionally, interviews were conducted with clients of the researched laboratory to identify selection criteria and preference for service provision. Financial, technical and commercial aspects of accreditation in this laboratory were investigated. As a result, the laboratory recognized that the accreditation enabled laboratory results of high reliability and quality, but did not bring financial return and the expected market recognition regarding this differential. It is noteworthy that the unit cost of the accredited service, when compared to services from non-accredited laboratories that operate in the same market, is not significantly higher.
