Abstract

Occupational safety and health – OSH is part of the strategic planning of contemporary organizations. The civil construction industry, as part of this context, it is impelled to adopt best practices related to OSH at construction site. Nevertheless, unlike other traditional industrial sectors, the civil construction industry has specificities that systematically place it among the most dangerous industrial sectors to work at. Therefore, the present paper presents a systematic mapping study process conducted to identify researches focused on critical success factors – CSF in management and implementation of OSH plans and programs for construction sites. Between 2019 and 2020, 201 papers were published in journals, with an significant increase of publications from 2014. Among the journals, Safety Science draws attention with 39 published researches. During the analyzed period (2009-2020), four researchers, from four different countries, draws attention by five published papers, each: Aviad Shapira, from Israel, Kent Jacob Nielsen, from Denmark, Hester Johnstone Lipscomb, from United States and Albert P. C. Chain, from Hong Kong.
