The 4th industrial revolution or Industry 4.0 represents opportunities to increase the competitiveness of companies through the application of new technologies that increase productivity and integration between companies. In order to contribute to understanding the difficulties and facilitate the implementation of new technologies in construction sites, this research aims at proposing guidelines for the implementation of automated technologies for the materials monitoring and control, based on the evaluation of User Experience (UX). The research proposes creating and implementing an automated prototyped solution for materials management in a construction site with the participation of users, using Design Thinking tools and methods.
