This is a Case Study on the use of BIM for medium-sized works. Initially, a literature review was carried out, selecting relevant data on the implementation of BIM technology in Brazil and in the world. It presents the partial result of a scientific initiation project that involved a residential work, from conception to execution. It is concluded that BIM presents itself as a solution for this size of works and indicates several points that need to be improved in terms of project integration, labor for the execution of the work, as well as some aspects of logistics at the construction site.
