Estimating hourly internal temperatures of occupied buildings with relatively simple methods allows evaluating their thermal performance and estimating energy consumption. However, the topic is still little explored. This research aimed to verify the applicability of the linear regression method to estimate internal temperatures in an occupied apartment in the city of Curitiba. For this, internal and external air temperatures were monitored for 41 days and equations were calibrated for three local climate situations. The results showed that contexts not covered by the calibration period represented an obstacle to the accuracy of the estimates.
