The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the quality of urban life:

a systematized literature review

Abstract

This paper aims to verify how the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the quality of urban life is being treated in the present scientific literature. Data for the research were collected on the Capes Periodicals Portal, using a search string that contained the keywords “urban quality of life”, “impact” and “Covid-19 pandemic” and its variants, and a temporal filter from 2020 to 2022. It was concluded that the concept of quality of urban life is broad and multidimensional and its operationalization depends on the scope that the study intends to address.

Andriele da Silva Panosso, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul

Doctoral student in the Urban and Regional Planning post-graduate program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She has a Master's in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria, in 2015, and a Bachelor's in Architecture and Urban planning, from the same university, in 2010. 

Luciana Inês Gomes Miron, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul

Architect and Urban Planner from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1994), Master (2002), and Ph.D. (2008), from the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture (since 2006) and the Postgraduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (since 2011).
