Abstract

Gamification, defined as the incorporation of game features into non-game environments, looks to be a creative concept aimed at increasing employee engagement and motivation. In the construction business, managers are creating way for innovative techniques to integrate lean philosophy principles and, as a result, push their workforce to fulfill production objectives. The purpose of this article is to provide a case study conducted in Londrina, PR, by Startup Construgame on the construction site of Company A, where gamification was integrated with lean construction concepts in production operations. This is an exploratory, quantitative research that gives a report of ten months, separated into four months for administrative team training and six for construction services, as well as the outcomes of the indicators. Based on the findings, the synergy between Lean Construction and Gamification could be demonstrated at the conclusion of this study. This study adds to the use of new technology on building sites to improve communication and involvement.
