Artificial Intelligence and Architectural Experience Design
developing a Tool to Assist Students

This study proposes the development and testing of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based tool to assist architecture students in designing architectural spaces more intentionally. Using Design Science Research, a literature review on architectural experience and its evaluation methods was initially conducted. Subsequently, an open-source software was developed to enable students to identify perceived experiences in existing projects with users and to use this data to train a neural network capable of predicting experiences in future projects. During a design exercise, the model's predictions were compared with actual user experiences, showing a significant correlation. Moreover, reports indicated that the tool promoted greater reflection on the importance of user experience in the design process. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the tool in designing architectural experiences.
