"Means of access" are devices used to provide fixation support to people and equipment during the construction or maintenance of structural elements at heights above the ground, allowing activities to be performed under safe conditions. This article aimed to develop and validate embedded anchorage in reinforced concrete structures, aiming to increase safety and efficiency in building maintenance activities. The prototype was designed without chemical adhesive due to the risks associated with its integrity. Tensile tests indicated that the device supported up to 3,405 kgf, exceeding the requirements of NR 18 [1]. The results evidenced that the mechanical anchors performed adequately in terms of load and compliance with NR 18 [1] criteria. Therefore, the use of the system demonstrated versatility, being used with suspended scaffolds and rope access. The results highlight the reliability, providing, in addition to adequate mechanical performance, an ideal scenario for anchorage requests and, consequently, greater safety for workers during activities at height.
