Contact with the external environment and the quality of this view are identified by the scientific community as fundamental to human well-being and have been incorporated into standards and certifications addressing natural lighting. In this context, this work aims to analyze standards and certifications regarding the quality of the view, establishing a comparison with the Brazilian standard NBR 15.215. The methodology consists of three stages: (1) Cataloging standards and certifications that address the quality of the view; (2) Surveying and identifying "criteria" and their respective scopes; and (3) Drawing a comparison between NBR 15.215-4 and international standards and certifications regarding the "evaluative requirements for view quality." In conclusion, it is possible to identify divergences between the certifications LEED, BREEAM, GREEN STAR NZ, and CASBEE, and the Brazilian standard in the treatment of view content. It can be highlighted that in the item "distance of the view from the window," there is no standard measurement, although close values were detected. However, there is unanimity among the standards and certifications analyzed regarding the necessity of a view of a natural landscape.
