Abstract

Off-Site construction is a method that involves the manufacturing of building elements in a factory or a production site external to the construction site itself. Given the documented benefits resulting from its global adoption, the growth in the quantity and diversity of research, which is essential for its understanding, has led to a large volume of information that requires the use of specific analysis techniques. Therefore, this article aims to quantitatively assess the scientific output related to Off-Site construction, as well as identify the nuances, trends, and their impacts. The methodology employed was based on bibliometric analysis, using the Scopus database, covering the years 2018 to 2023, to investigate scientific texts on the subject. The results indicated a growth in the number of published articles over the years. However, a scarcity of publications originating from Brazil was noted, while China stood out with the highest number of publications. Of the articles analyzed, 44.5% addressed topics related to the structure and mechanical behavior of elements and systems in industrialized construction, indicating a trend in studies during the period.
