Abstract

Construction site planning is an integral stage in the construction process, which organizes and offers safety and health conditions to workers, in addition to providing structural conditions to reduce productive losses. The 4D Building Information Modeling (BIM) can serve as an aid in the planning, scheduling and control of production, favoring the improvement of safety management, work space and waste. The study constitutes a Systematic Literature Review (RSL) using the Scielo, Science Direct and Web of Science databases, with aims identify main researches that address the use of BIM in construction site planning and safety optimization. 33 articles were selected, which were analyzed by year of publication, journal and relevance. As a recent process in construction, BIM is not yet widely used with all its potential to contribute to the planning of construction sites, but has met the needs of the construction area, both by reducing costs and time, and by reducing risks for construction site workers.
