This paper reports and discusses the creation process, application and results of a game developed by Architecture and Urbanism students from Federal University of Juiz de Fora. The present work aimed to create a gamified pedagogical tool to contribute to the learning process of incoming students in matters related to environmental comfort and sustainability. It is understood that there is a gap between theory and practice of content in areas of technologies and representation, which harms the designing practice. The goal of the ECO OIKOS game is to offer students a first contact with these themes in an interactive, gamified, intuitive and effective way, raising awareness and sensitizing the participants about the interrelationship between building construction and the environment. The methodological process started with the research of different mechanics and dynamics of analog games, followed by the systematization of ideas and analysis of possible tools and finally, the definition of the game stages and components. Given the analysis of this practical-didactic experience, the result was the possibility of research, revision and improvement of the tool, as well as the approach of an active form of learning that enables critical thinking in the praxis of sustainable design.
