Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic demonstrated the need for structural changes in Health Care Establishments (HCE) design. For that, this paper proposes to carry out a simulation in a pilot study format to verify the advantages, disadvantages and limitations of a physical-digital tool that helps in the representation and communication in co-design of HCEs. This is an exploratory research using the Experience-Based Co-design methodology for planning healthcare environment layouts. For this, a proposal for a tangible physical mockup linked to a Virtual Reality Mockup was developed. Preliminary results demonstrated the potential and restrictions of the tool, which should be improved for future applications with the target audience.
