Due to the creation of the Performance Standard, many designers have used computational simulations for realize previous acoustic analysis. The objective of this work was to compare the results of the field tests and the computational simulations in relation to Standardized Weighted Level Difference 2 m away from the facade (D2m,nt,w). The methodology has get to the comparison between 18 field tests realized in façade walls of buildings in Recife around, according to the literature reference, and the simulations with the software Cypecad Mep 2016. The results present that only 11,11% of walls were approved through the field tests; however, 100% of walls reached to the minimum criteria through to the simulations. It’s possible to close that the simulation results only were the biggest that field tests results for D2m,nt, w. From the comparison of results, It was obtained that the discrepancy found ranged from 7 to 14 dB. The medium value of this discrepancy presents a correlation factor equal to 0.67 that should be applied in the simulations for match with field tests results.
