Abstract

The manufacturing process of concrete blocks has showed high production costs and high waste generation from their own manufacturing. This paper evaluates the viability of production of recycled concrete blocks using recycled aggregate from manufacturing process industry. This way, the aim of this experimental work was to evaluate the compressive strength, of munufactured concretes blocks using in replacement of natural aggregate the recycled aggregate (20% replacement by mass). The concrete blocks were produced with brazilian Portland cement (CP II F) and meassured for compressive strength in the age of 14 days. The results showed that the shape aggregate and porcentage replacement influenced the durability and compressive strength of the concretes.
