CLASSIFICAÇÃO DE EFICIÊNCIA ENERGÉTICA APLICADA À UMA EDIFICAÇÃO RESIDENCIAL EM BELO HORIZONTE

Abstract

The global building stock present relevant energy consumption and also great potential to its reduction due to energy efficiency strategies. Likewise, building labelling have great importance to foster this goal. The objective proposed for this paper was evaluated the energy efficiency level and its improvement for a habitational building located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The building evaluation was carried out through simplified method according to parameters established by RTQ-R (2012). To final rate, the housing units (UH's) were analyzed individually considering the Bioclimatic Zone where the building is located, its envelope, its ventilation system and daylighting, electricity and water distribution system and so on, besides some bonuses strategies. To whole building rate was used the weighted average of each UH considering its useful area. Broadly, the housing units received a good final grade and, consequently, the building. On the other hand, to receive the highest grade some modifications must be made. Those modifications would not result in a costly investment, representing a small increase percentage over the construction cost. In short, it is indeed crucial consider energy efficiency strategies since the early design.
