Abstract

The introduction of daylight in indoor spaces can provide better quality of work and well-being to users, but due to its dynamic character, daylighting must be thought of for the interior spaces to provide good lighting. Recognizing this importance, the objective of this research was to analyze the conformity to LM-83 metrics in a project model of the Emergency Care Units (UPA) of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), made available by the Ministry of Health. For this, the construction of UPAs in three cities of the country located in different light zones: Florianópolis, Fortaleza and Cuiabá, was considered. The analyses were made using DIVA software, based on the dynamic metrics of Spatial Daylight Autonomy (sDA) and Annual Sunlight Exposure (ASE). It was found that the analyzed rooms have significant potential for the use of daylight, presenting, however, spaces with possible occurrence of glare. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the development of adjustments to the reference project, related to sunlight control systems, considering the particularities of the insertion in each city, would be beneficial to solve the occurrence of visual discomfort.
