Abstract

the elements focused on acoustic, thermal and visual comfort in iconic buildings of modernist architecture in São Paulo, produced between the 1940s and 1960s. Sizing and distribution of the rooms in conjunction with the positioning, sizing and control systems of the openings in the buildings envelope, in addition to shading systems were considered. The case studies are the two residential blocks of the Louveira complex (1946, project by Carlos Cascaldi and Vilanova Artigas) and the Albatroz Building (1960, project by João Kon), both located in the Higienópolis region, notable by the remarkable presence of bioclimatic architecture. Among the main results are the impact of infiltration in the bedrooms, the good levels of illuminance in the central portions of the plants and the adaptability in relation to acoustic comfort.
