O USO DA METODOLOGIA BIM E DO ESCANEAMENTO A LASER 3D EM UM PROJETO INDUSTRIAL DE ADEQUAÇÃO E EXPANSÃO

Advances in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry can be triggered by innovations. In the case of civil construction, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology and 3D laser scanning are an alternative for the development of the sector. Currently, most of the buildings, already built, do not have detailed digital projects, which hinders obtaining relevant information for the development of a project. With the point cloud, resulting from the 3D laser scanning process, and using the BIM methodology it is possible to create a parametric and detailed model. In this sense, questionnaires were formulated with the objective of making sense of the functioning of the BIM methodology and of the 3D laser scanning in a project of adaptation and industrial expansion. As main results it is noticed that the use of these techniques can lead to the conduction of the project and reduce the rework.
