Abstract

Upgrading social housing can positively impact users' satisfaction, health conditions, quality of life and finances. Initiatives such as Living Labs (LLs) promote the development of user-centric solutions in collaboration with other stakeholders. This paper reports the partial results of an ongoing LL that aims to develop solutions to upgrading for solid waste management in a social housing estate. Illustrated cards were used as a mediation tool in a workshop to develop solutions with residents. The results indicate that the cards helped to improve the understanding of the upgrading possibilities and to conduct the dialogue.
