Abstract

This paper aims to present a mapping of the possibilities and potentials for applying BIM methodology to the management of railway assets, with emphasis on the phases of construction, operation and maintenance. This analysis was performed from the survey of indicators and information groups (IGI) associated with the management of the phases of construction, operation, and maintenance. Subsequently, such IGI were classified - based on a process and criteria developed by the authors - according to the potentials and computational resources available to perform the integration of such data with the BIM model.
