Factors related to the quality of the internal environment can influence the comfort, well-being and productivity of users in work environments. The aim of this paper was to review the scientific production on productivity and quality in the internal environment in the area of architecture between 2017 and 2019. The methodology was divided into four stages: (1) selection and cataloguing of articles; (2) restriction by theme and relevance; (3) content analysis; and (4) discussion of results. The review was carried out through articles indexed in journals with architecture and urbanism category and minimum classification B2 in the Qualis evaluation. From a sample of 192 articles, 44 were selected for content analysis and the main results showed that the United States, Science Direct and Building and Environment were, respectively, the country, the base and the journal with the largest number of publications and the main parameters analyzed were thermal comfort, air quality and light comfort. It was concluded that the research on the topic has been produced through different methodologies that related different parameters related to IEQ.
