Abstract

ABSTRACT: Knowing the consumption behavior during the year is important for managers to be able to articulate effective water saving measures. This article aims to determine water end-uses in four bathrooms in a classroom building at Santa Catarina State Univesity. Flow meters equipped with data loggers were installed in the plumbing system and data collection was carried out between March 2017 and March 2018. The daily end-uses were determined, which indicated the toilets as devices with the highest water consumption in the building (60.39%), followed by the lavatory faucets (20.96%), urinals (12.08%), drinking fountains (4.98%) and cleaning taps (1.59%).
