Abstract

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a methodology that has a considerable high amount of academic production in the civil construction, however, other industries have successfully implemented other mindsets and strategies related to management and production that can be integrated together with BIM. The concepts of Design Thinking, Lean and Agile Method already have been applied in industries such as information technology, having the potential to be also applied with success along with BIM in the Civil Construction. This paper aimed to contribute in this discussion about the potential of BIM associated with innovative concepts through an integrated matrix of correlations. For this purpose, a systematic review of the literature was carried out through the web of science platform, selecting journals that presented applications of BIM and other concepts, correlating them according to the synergistic potential of each application. It is expected to contribute to the improvement of the discussion on the possibility of adapting methodologies such as Design Thinking, Lean and Agile Method together with a BIM methodology to achieve significant results in specific areas, subsidizing with knowledge professionals and academics who wish to carry out research or future applications in this area.
