The development of new constructive possibilities with traditional materials has been growing over the last few years, especially when directed to the use of raw materials with low environmental impact, such the wood. This work aims to analyze the main technological advances involving SCL- Structural Composite Lumber, with the identification of different techniques currently available and their potential application as structural element. From the bibliographical and documentary research in different scientific sources, it was observed that many advances are in the international context and are directed to the development of new adhesives, additives and machining processes, in which processing particularities characterize the wide variety of products found with SCL, expanding the application possibilities for increasingly complex purposes.
