ANÁLISE DISCRIMINANTE DAS CARACTERÍSTICAS DO MEIO URBANO NA SATISFAÇÃO DO INDIVÍDUO

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the urban environment that affect individual satisfaction in their residential context. The residential environment satisfaction can influence the individual's overall life quality, however, a better understanding is sought if there is a significant difference in satisfaction between men and women. The data were obtained in 2019 through a questionnaire, using the survey method for data collection. It was verified whether 24 independent variables related to the individual's satisfaction and the urban environment differ between men and women, and how they influence the distinction between these two groups. For this, statistical tests were applied, and a discriminant analysis was performed. The results showed that 68.80% of the cases could be correctly classified between the two groups, however, the discriminant analysis showed a low level of differentiation between the genders with the selected variables.
