About the Journal

O Encontro Nacional de Conforto no Ambiente Construído (ENCAC) é um encontro bienal realizado pelo Grupo de Trabalho Conforto Ambiental e Eficiência Energética da Associação Nacional de Tecnologia do Ambiente Construído (ANTAC). Desde 1995, ocorre simultaneamente o Encontro Latino-Americano de Conforto no Ambiente Construído (ELACAC) e, a partir de 1999, a Bienal "José Miguel Aroztegui" - Concurso Latino-Americano de Projetos Estudantis de Arquitetura Bioclimática. O ENCAC/ELACAC É um evento que se consagrou a partir da última década como principal fórum de debates em torno de questões de conforto, desempenho e normatização no âmbito brasileiro e latino-americano. Tal reconhecimento se deve à crescente qualidade acadêmica dos artigos, cursos e conferências apresentados nesses encontros e que proporcionam reais oportunidades de integração e atualização ao conjunto dos especialistas nacionais e internacionais da área.

In its eighteenth national edition and fourteenth Latin American edition, ENCAC/ELACAC 2025 addresses the theme "Built Environment and User: Latin American perspectives". The XVIII ENCAC and the XIV ELACAC are organized by the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism (IAU USP) and the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (FAU USP) of the University of São Paulo, and by the Postgraduate Program in Urban Engineering of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar).
The event will be held in the city of São Carlos – SP, Brazil, between September 1st and 4th, 2025, at the University of São Paulo.
